I believe that health and sexuality go hand in hand—both are part of our identity and
influence how we feel, relate and live. In my work, I integrate the global and continuous perspective of General and Family Medicine with the specialized knowledge of Clinical Sexology, creating an approach that is close, respectful, and tailored to each person and their unique history. Throughout my professional journey, I have been dedicated to promoting an open, inclusive, and evidence-based view of sexuality, so that everyone can experience it freely, knowledgeably, and safely.
I currently practice at USF da Luz and with the Group Activists in Treatments (GAT), where I have developed expertise in sexually transmitted infections and working with vulnerable populations.
I hold recognized competence in Clinical Sexology from the Portuguese Medical Board and am a Sexual Therapist certified by the Portuguese Society of Clinical Sexology. I am a faculty member of the Postgraduate Program in Human Sexuality at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Lisbon, and of the Clinical Sexology Specialization Course at the Portuguese Society of Clinical Sexology, where I also serve on the Board of
Directors.
I aim to support people with issues related to sexual health, including counseling on sexually transmitted infections, contraceptive methods, safe sexual practices, sexual problems and dysfunctions (in desire/interest, erection, ejaculation, arousal, orgasm, pleasure, and sexual pain), difficulties in individual or couple sexual expression, and questions regarding gender identity and sexual orientation.
